more about open source software with Ron
Bongo and how pirated or cracked software can damage your system or device. In the past, most electronic devices from mp3 players to portable
GPS navigational systems manufactured and distributed only by OEM
manufacturers. As part of an original purchased merchandize comes the
proprietary software need to make the device function according to its
advertised features. In some cases, the proprietary software is provided by a licensed
third-party application provider and can be obtained after purchase. The advent of wholesale-priced merchandize from non-OEM
manufacturers brought the prices of these devices way, way down, such as
providers or manufacturers that come directly from China and other manufacturing
countries. To keep the price down to very affordable levels never dreamed of in
this industry, manufacturers designed these devices to be open or can run with
any applicable software. This is why most of these devices are shipped without pre-installed
proprietary software. This is where the problem starts. Unscrupulous distributors
wanting to dispose these products in the shortest possible time would throw in
and install cracked or pirated versions of the software. The application may
work for a while, just enough time for the sale to commence, but would
eventually break down due to incomplete codes. On top of that, cracked software
can be loaded with a wide variety of viruses, Trojans, worms and other malware
that could do irreparable damage to your system. Open source is the better alternative for these users
instead of relying on pirated software. Even though most of these applications
are given free, it doesn’t mean that they are of poor quality and not much
different from these pirated applications. These applications have the same or
even better functionality than their proprietary software counterparts – ideal for
use with your devices. Come back here to learn more about the open source concept
and learn how its benefits can help your business or profession as brought to
you by Ron
Bongo.
